*HYMN Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing by Chris Rice
INVOCATION (in unison)
Hope is a dark elusive child curled in the womb cradled in our arms, hope growing, silently, secretly, fluttering – putting out soft tentacles; hope – stretching, stirring. Hope growing silently, secretly, swelling, burgeoning, bursting, until the flower opens, the child is crowned, and hope is born. God of all hopefulness, for seeds of silent growth and secret expectation, we thank you. God of steadfast love, never leave us hopeless. Bring hope to birth in us, and your world. God, giver of peace, grow hope within us and around us. God of steadfast love, never leave us hopeless.

PRAYER OF DEDICATION (in unison)
For all who have made life more pleasant for us, we give you thanks, O God. For the abundance of your steadfast love, which rescues and enlivens us, we are most grateful. We present here practical expressions of thanksgiving, to extend your purposes in the world. May this offering scatter seeds of love in life-changing ways. May we learn from all we help, that all of us may grow toward discipleship. Amen.

Family Promise Bed Race
The Family Promise Bed Race will take place virtually July 25 thru August 1.
Our church family has generously supported the fundraiser for Family Promise in the past and thank you for supporting this Ontario County organization again, if you are able. If you are willing to donate, please write the check to the church with “Family Promise” in the memo line.
Family Promise provides shelter, meals and safety to homeless school children and their families. They also provide advocacy in finding jobs for parents, childcare and advice on being self-sustaining. Families who “graduate” from the program are followed for a year to help them maintain self-sufficiency.
The Family Promise of Ontario County site can provide more information at fpocny.org. Thank you for your support for Family Promise.
DRIVE WAY VISITS
The weather is changing. Spring turns to summer and the warm air brings us out of our houses. The social distancing restrictions remain in place, but that doesn’t mean we can’t see one another. We cannot gather for worship, but I would love to come to your home for a driveway visit!
I know that not everyone is comfortable with having people from outside of their family unit coming to visit, but if you are comfortable with a six or more feet away visit, outside in your driveway, on your porch or in your yard. I’d like to come visit.
Give me a call 905-3105 or send me an email at revdawn@canandaiguachurch.org, so that we can arrange for a time for me to stop by for a short social distanced visit.
I know that not everybody will want me to stop by for a driveway visit, but I look forward to seeing those of you who would enjoy a chance to chat.
Blessings,
Dawn
