Dear Friends,
Epiphany is the day we celebrate the coming of the Magi to Bethlehem. They found their way to Jesus by following a star. This Epiphany, we are sending out stars to each of you with hopes that they will guide you and bring blessing in the coming year.
If we were meeting in-person, we would have put these stars in the offering plates and passed them out to the congregation. This way, you would have received your star as a gift from the same plates where we give our own gifts to support the ministry of this congregation.
The Magi brought Jesus gold, frankincense and myrrh. These gifts all symbolized parts of Jesus’ life and perhaps they guided him on his way.
Enclosed in your envelope is your “star word.” You are invited to put this star on your refrigerator, on the bathroom mirror, on a computer screen, or someplace that you will see it every day. Let this word guide you throughout the year.
Each of you have received a different “star word” that was randomly put in an envelope. I know that God works in mysterious ways and that the word you receive will be right for you. I hope that it has some meaning to you, and if it does not yet, that it will come to have meaning. Carry your “star word” with you through the year and feel God guiding you whenever you see this star.
If there are multiple people in your household, you can follow the link below and have a star word randomly generated for you:

May 2021 be a better year for all of the world, and may you be guided by God today and always.
Blessed Epiphany!
